Terms of Use
Last updated 27 June 2026
Welcome to remWERK. remWERK is a free bookkeeping and business-management tool built for tradies and small service businesses across Australia, helping you maintain your accounts while managing your vendors, clients, inventory, jobs and fixed assets. remWERK is provided by CodeREM Labs Pvt. Ltd. ("CodeREM Labs", "we", "us" or "our").
These Terms of Use ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and CodeREM Labs and govern your access to and use of remWERK. By creating an account or using remWERK, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use remWERK.
1. What remWERK is
remWERK lets you record and manage your business's financial and operational information, including bank and cash accounts, vendors/suppliers, clients, inventory, jobs, invoices, fixed assets, debts and GST, using double-entry bookkeeping. It is provided free of charge.
remWERK is a software tool. It is not a substitute for professional advice. It does not provide accounting, taxation, financial, legal or other professional advice, and it is not a registered tax agent or BAS agent service. You remain responsible for your own records, tax obligations and lodgements (including any obligations to the Australian Taxation Office), and you should obtain independent professional advice where appropriate.
2. Eligibility and your account
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You agree to provide accurate registration information and to keep it up to date.
3. Your responsibilities — and “garbage in, garbage out”
remWERK processes the information you enter. The accuracy, completeness and reliability of your reports, balances and records depend entirely on the accuracy of the data you put in — in other words, garbage in, garbage out. You are solely responsible for ensuring the information you record is correct and entered as intended.
You agree to:
- Use remWERK only for lawful purposes and as it is intended to be used;
- Enter true, accurate and complete information, and review your figures before relying on them;
- Keep your own backups and records as your circumstances and the law require;
- Not misuse remWERK — including not attempting to gain unauthorised access, interfere with its operation or security, upload malicious code, or use it to infringe the rights of others.
4. Availability and changes
remWERK is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We work hard to keep it secure, accurate and available, but we may update, change, suspend or discontinue any part of remWERK at any time, and access may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or reasons beyond our control.
5. Data security
We take data security seriously and apply security best practices to help protect your information (see our Privacy Policy). However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
While we provide remWERK in good faith and assure you of our commitment to security best practices, we do not accept accountability or liability for any risks, losses or damages that may arise from your use of remWERK, including from the data you enter, your reliance on any figure or report, loss of data, or any unavailability of the service. You use remWERK at your own risk.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you may have under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) (including the Australian Consumer Law) or other laws that cannot lawfully be excluded ("Non-excludable Guarantees"). To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- our liability for any failure to comply with a Non-excludable Guarantee is limited, at our option, to re-supplying the service or paying the cost of having it re-supplied; and
- we exclude all other liability (whether in contract, tort including negligence, or otherwise) for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, loss of profits, loss of data, or loss of business arising from or in connection with remWERK.
Because remWERK is provided free of charge, you acknowledge this limitation is fair and reasonable.
7. Support, feedback and suggestions
As the creators and providers of remWERK, we are here to help. We are always available to answer your questions, resolve queries and fix issues, and we genuinely welcome your suggestions — you can share ideas, vote and raise issues through the in-app Community page. Any feedback or suggestions you provide may be used by us to improve remWERK without any obligation or payment to you.
8. Intellectual property
remWERK, including its software, design and content, is owned by CodeREM Labs and protected by law. The business and financial data you enter remains yours. By using remWERK you grant us the limited rights needed to host, process and display that data so we can provide the service to you.
9. Suspension and termination
You may stop using remWERK at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or use remWERK in a way that may cause harm to other users, to us or to the service.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above, and your continued use of remWERK after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia and the State or Territory in which you ordinarily reside or operate your business, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that place.
